A lovely vintage, queen size scrap quilt for your bed! This quilt is a departure from my usual listings. The quilt top was given to me from my Mom. She had inherited the scrappy patchwork center from a family friend, probably over 50 years ago. She recently added the two outer borders and then passed it on to me to quilt and bind!

The fabrics all have a nice quality feel and in are in excellent condition with no tears or weak spots that I could determine. I cannot say for certain whether they are all cotton; so it is possible that some are a poly cotton blend.
I have used freemotion quilting designs (hand guided machine stitching, not computer) in different areas of the quilt. This gives the pretty texture.
You will notice in some of the photos that the backing is an ecru tone on tone cotton print, pieced with a dark green floral stripe across the one end. This happened because I didn't have enough length using just the ecru fabric. This dark green print seemed to both look good with the ecru and match the rest of the quilt as a whole.

The overall size of the quilt is about 100 x 92 inches, with a drop of about 16 inches.

I have washed and dried this quilt making the fabrics relax and become soft and ready to use. Notice that some of the photos were taken after washing which creates the more crinkly, old fashioned look that we associate with homemade quilts.

For care: I washed in my front load washer, with regular laundry soap, and dried with warm heat. If your washing machine has an agitator, I would suggest using a delicate cycle. The quilt is now preshrunk, it will not shrink any further.
